Working with MEDICA
Would you like to work in healthcare? Are you attracted to the idea of working with senior citizens and with patients requiring rehabilitation and temporary care?
MEDICA employs over 7,400 professionals and is recruiting every year. Join us and help us to build the highest quality service in this rapidly expanding sector.
In France and in Italy, we are currently employing caregivers, nurses and doctors as well as managers and administrative staff. As these professions evolve with time, so can you! Each employee is given the chance to evolve within the company through on-going training.
On-going training
MEDICA is committed to training its employees at all stages of their career.
ALZHEIMER CAREGIVER TRAINING
In partnership with the INFA training institute, MEDICA has offered the Alzheimer Occupational Therapy diploma since 2005. Selected applicants undertake a part-time course over several months and learn how best to deal with individuals affected by this illness.
What are the symptoms? How can affected individuals best keep their independence? How should one talk with the individual’s family? "The training gave me an authority on the subject", explained one nursing home employee. At MEDICA, valuable skills such as these are used on a daily basis!
MANAGERIAL TRAINING
Together with the Paris XII University and the INFA training institute, MEDICA has developed a specific diploma to train the future managers of its long-term care facilities. The 60-day training module takes place over 16 months. Each month, for three or four days, trainees learn how to carry out their responsibilities including team management, understanding of regulatory imperatives and other managerial matters.
Employment and disabilities
MEDICA is committed to employing people who live with disabilities. In line with the ‘Equality for People with Disabilities Agreement’ signed with various industry partners, MEDICA is dedicated to providing opportunities for employment, training and integration. Wherever possible, the company prefers to offer full-time employment.
Employee communications
Always attentive to its employees, MEDICA has instigated a ‘Social Barometer’, a national employee survey designed to collect feedback on areas where progress could be made.
According to our ‘Social Barometer’, 8 out of every 10 MEDICA employees would recommend working with us to a friend (versus 7/10 in 2009).

So why not think about joining us?
