Medica France and Paris-Dauphine University have signed a partnership helping to train students on a Master’s degree course in Economics and management of long-term care organisations
Paris, 3rd December 2010 – Christine Jeandel, Deputy CEO of Medica France, and Laurent Batsch, President of Paris-Dauphine University, have signed a partnership agreement helping to train students on a master’s degree course in Economics and management of long-term care organisations (“Master 2”). This link-up will lead to the implementation of an exchange system between the two entities, with Medica France making a valuable contribution to the excellence of this master’s degree.
The master’s degree in the Economics and management of long-term care organisations directed by Sandrine Dufour-Kippelen prepares students for leadership and expertise-based roles in the long-term care sector via initial training, continuing training and apprenticeships.
Medica France, a leading player in long-term and short-term dependency care, has opportunities at management level every year. To help meet current and future needs in the sector, Medica France is to promote the hosting of management interns from the master’s degree at Paris-Dauphine University at its facilities. It will enhance its credentials as a good corporate citizen by giving future professionals a glimpse of real life in the sector.
For the master’s degree in Economics and management of long-term care organisations, this partnership is another example of the close relationships that Paris-Dauphine University has forged with businesses. Ever since its creation, the University has successfully developed the professionalism of its training programmes by teaming up with businesses to deliver university courses of a high calibre.
The partnership will take the form of educational activities in connection with teaching, additional training events (conferences, seminars, meetings, etc.) and support initiatives (personalised coaching for students), recruitment and communication.
Accordingly, Medica France:
- will play host via apprenticeship contracts to master’s degree students at its facilities, with those located in the Paris region taking priority;
- will send out its offers of internships and job offers related to this degree to the Internship department of Paris-Dauphine University’s master’s degree course in Economics and management of long-term care organisations first;
- may be involved, at the request of the director of the master’s degree course, in certain educational programmes (practical case studies, events, etc.);
- will participate at Paris-Dauphine University’s Enterprise Forum.
Christine Jeandel, Deputy CEO of Medica France, expressed her delight: “We are very happy about this cooperation with Paris-Dauphine University, since we share the values of excellence, competency development and openness to the business world.”
Laurent Batsch, President of Paris-Dauphine University, stated: “I am pleased with this partnership because it will make a valuable contribution to the practical training of our students and to their rapid integration within the long-term care sector.”
